Very Seussical acronym-poem.

no wait…

You are an x
You are an x, and I, I am an x
I see tv
I see tv, and I see you
I see you, I see you, and you are okay
You are an x
You are an x and I, I double you (?)
I see a tv, I see a dvd, and I see you
I see you, I see you, and you are okay
I see you, I see you, and you are okay.

I FIGURED IT OUT! Placenta brain is good for something - makes you think so far outside the box it's like you're on drugs.

Rohan,

How about (going to be difficult because it seems that the software won't allow me to add linebreaks in my comment!):

You are an ex-
You are an ex-, and I, I am an ex-
I see TV
I see TV, and I see you
I see you, I see you, and you are OK
You are an ex-
You are an ex-, and I, I double you
I see a TV, I see a DVD, and I see you
I see you, I see you, and you are OK
I see you, I see you, and you are OK

Sounds like the author saw an ex-lover in a film on a DVD he rented, and realised that in spite of or becase of the similarities they have, he now accepts the former lover, and himself, as they are.

Well done you lot. It is actually a song by They Might Be Giants, taken from one of their highly recommended albums for children (that adults enjoy too) called “Here come the ABCs”. This is one of my favourites (along with “E eats Everything” and “Pictures of Pandas Painting”). Their other album for children (“No!”), features such classics as “John Lee Supertaster” and “I am not your broom”. Go and buy. You know you want to.

I stand by my “so far out of the box that it's like you're on drugs” comment - I love TMBG though, I will have to get my kids hooked on their children's albums. Rather than just the Zig Zag that is like baby crack for my two-year-old. I got through a section of astrophysics in college based purely on “the sun is a mass of incandescant gas etc etc”

Ana, Ana Ng, gettin' old and we still haven't walked in the glow of each other's majestic presence…
