Pale Imitation

The Alpaca Guessed recording and release schedule continues to move quickly. I think we are on track for a release before the end of June. The CD booklets have all been printed, and we are finishing up some of the music.

Some recent additions are a trio of Piano / Hulusi improvisations recorded a couple of weeks ago - two of these will appear on the CD (and the third will most likely make its way onto a bonus mp3 section). Sadly “Floating In The Bathtub” has been axed (officially because Rohan couldn't play the melody, but I suspect that the real reason is that it is “too Riverdance”). I'll finish it off myself and post it one day…

The most recent piece is entitled “Pale Imitation”, and I've been working on this over the past couple of days. This is now winging its way off for Rohan to embellish with Bass, Khean, and whatever else. It should be quite fun, as it is mostly in 14/8. If Rohan deems this playable (and not too oirish), then I'll post the Rohan-ised version later for comparison.
