Where you are is unfamiliar
Way off in the South Pacific is a small Fijian island called Matagi (pronounced Matangi, if you’re interested).
Matagi was originally a volcano, though at some stage one side of the volcano collapsed into the sea. This has left a horsehoe of steep hills surrounding an enclosed bay in the volcano’s crater.
Whilst most islands are perhaps not worthy of song, this one certainly is. And here is such a song. If you know of any other songs about Matagi, let me know!
